The video is entitled: "Protect Yourself From Misinformation"
At timestamp 8:00 Gary B states something to the effect:
"Our Governing Body never lie or deceive us...we can have absolute trust in our Governing Body..."
In essence Gary B himself Is lying, implying that the G B never put out misinformation!

Prediction: no more changes for a long while
by slimboyfat ini’ve noticed a pattern where things don’t go the way i expect them to go and/or whenever i realise there is a trend and, i mentally adjust for the idea that the trend will continue, the trend stops in its tracks.
so on that basis, and given many people, including myself, and active jws, have been asking ‘what changes will the governing body make next?’ perhaps the (disappointing) answer is: ‘nothing much for a while to come’.
maybe they’ve made the changes they want for now, and will wait a while and see how it’s received.

Finance is a topic that interests alot people. Whether you're a 5 year old JW selling Kool-aid, a JW teenager flipping burgers, a JW parent managing a young family, a JW small business owner or like WTBTS, a sizable corporation...how much money your left with (profit) after expenses is your main concern in order to support yourself.
WTBTS boasts some 8.5 million (give or take) membership globally. It begs the question: How many of these 8.5 million are in a position & can be trusted to actually make regular, meaningful dollar donations to this corporation?Let's break it down:
How many of JW membership are of the ages, say between 9 to 18 years old...not yet adults? Let's say roughly 25% or 2.1 million fall under this category. How many of JW membership live in poor and/or in 3rd world countries? It has to be a large number...say 40% or 3.4 million. So already in just these two segments of WT membership there are 5.5 million active JWs contributing next to nothing to keep this organization afloat.
How many of the WT membership fall into the category of being inactive or PIMO & donate zero...zilch? How many active and exemplary JWs in affluent countries are there who wish they could donate more but just can't because they're financially strapped due to modern day high cost of living? These make up 12% or less than 1 million of JWs.
In summary: My quess is of the 8.5 million JWs worldwide, roughly 25% or 2.1 JWs are actually making meaningful donations. Hardly a number to boast about & certainly not a number to sustain this organization given the high cost of operating expenses & excessive legal fees it's dealing with!

What no-zombie said:
Unfortunately, the window of opportunity is rapidly closing, as even now, most believers are already acting as PIMOs ... which I find rather funny.
In my neck of the woods I also see a trend of many JW believers acting like PIMOs. I was at a couple of JW gatherings recently where the topic came up of all the recent changes. I was surprised at how freely & openly without reservations everyone was contributing to the discussion. Most were poking fun at all the GB changes as though they were silly.

When JW.org drops 607BCE...
by Nathan Natas inprobably everyone else thought of this long ago, but i, being an "independent thunker" thunk of it just a coupla weeks ago.. we all know that since the year zero (on the fredfranzian calendar) the wtb&ts has defied archaeology and insisted that jerusalem was destroyed in 607 bce, even though the physical evidence shows that 587 bce is a more likely date.
in fact, the book "the gentile times reconsidered: have jehovah's witnesses been wrong all along about 607 bce?
" by carl olof jonsson and rud persson made this conversation public.. it is a difference of 20 years.

So, the joke is not on WT scholars and the Witnesses who have publicly proclaimed the validity of 1914 CE but is on...
Sorry "scholar"...but the joke is on WT & the Jehovah’s Witnesses...always has been & always will be.
Did you notice the quotation marks around your avatar, "scholar"? Me wonders how much you live up to that name! I'm JW GoneBad...& believe me I live up to that name.
Be honest you're a WT Apologist...the name suits you!🤣
No way are you a Scholar!

Can you imagine the shock waves throughout the medical community if the cult eased-up and softened on the no-blood doctrine? WT would be making a mockery of tons of hospitals who've bent over backwards to accommodate this senseless WT teaching. The embarrassing situation that dedicated JW nurses & dedicated JW doctors will find themselves in who over the many years have supported the JW anti-blood policy. What about JW elders who over the years have put in tons of time into HLC related hospital visits. How many JW deaths in hospitals due to the no-blood policy have they (elders) witnessed?
I myself know of a few non-JW doctors who have dedicated an enormous amount of time & resources in order to oblige JW patients & their no-blood demands...they (doctors) would be delighted to hear WT has shit-canned this absurd JW no-blood teaching! -

Jack In The Box Inc., McDonald's Hamburgers Inc., Taco Bell Inc., Dell Taco Inc., Kentucky Fried Chicken Inc. & a heap of other big-name junk-food companies have been soo dynamic in how they run their organizations that they have their clientele returning every day for breakfast, brunch, lunch & dinner.
Me doesn't think WTBTS has been as effective & dynamic with their spiritual junk-food as some may think! The real difference here is that the WTBTS is not gaining any real new customers...in fact they're clientele base are dropping like flies. Whereas the above mentioned Fast Food Corporations are growing, expanding their menus, gaining new customers and are here to stay.
Junk Fast-Food establishments are in great demand worldwide...The WTBTS and the Spiritual-Fast-Food they have to offer sucks to a good percentage of the JW rank & file including to the masses of mankind!

The Memorial and my thoughts.
by Truth and Justice inno matter what opinions you may have, the memorial is very important to us.
many are opposed to the way the organization performs the memorial because of restrictive rules as to who should partake.
as jesus said in scripture, "keep doing this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.

Damn...I mean damn! Several times throughout the talk the speaker threatened the audience about partaking of the emblems 'unworthingly'! What the hell business is it of his who partakes and who doesn't?

Thoughts on Likely Upcoming Changes in the Org.
by Phizzy ini am thinking that the "ten year plan" that some have spoken of is the most likely scenario.
the org.
has to both attract new members and retain as many existing ones as possible.. so i think they will let the recent changes "bed in" for a while, maybe a year ?

Thoughts On Likely Upcoming Changes in The Org.
I noticed not once throughout GB Sanderson's 20 minute March #2 Update of the 8 or 9 changes that there was any mention whats-so-ever of the expression 'New Light ' (Proverbs 4:18) which for decades has accompanied any new changes and refinements in WT teachings, beliefs and doctrine. In the past the GB have always mistakenly referenced Proverbs 4:18 to add weight to any changes/refinements in order to justify and bolster their right in doing so.
At time-stamp 4:00 GB Sanderson uses the expression "The Governing Body has prayerfully considered" and the expression "...that's led to a clearer understanding..." then proceeds with the 8 or 9 changes without alluding to Proverbs 4:18 'New Light' but rather uses the expression "...that's led to a clearer understanding" or words to that effect throughout the 20 minute video.
Is WT finally going to stop after 50 to 60 years the misuse & misrepresentation of Proverbs 4:18...me thinks so? Will WT soon follow-up with a Video Update or Broadcast explaining their nolonger referencing Proverbs 4:18 in connection with changes or refinements of Bible Scriptures...who knows?
